It really depends on what you're doing. PNG is your go-to for logos and things with transparent backgrounds. WebP is amazing if you want tiny files for a website. JPEG is the classic choice for everyday photos.

If you're going from a PNG to a JPEG, you'll lose a tiny bit of data because JPEG compresses things. But for normal everyday use, you aren't going to see any weird artifacts or blurriness.

Simply renaming a file from .png to .jpg doesn't change how the data is written under the hood. You actually have to convert the file structure, which is exactly what this tool does for you.
